The LA 3034 project represents another important step in strengthening Louisiana’s roadway infrastructure. As a family-owned company built on quality and accountability, R.J. Daigle & Sons takes pride in projects that improve how our communities move and connect. This effort is about delivering safe, durable roads that serve the people who travel them every day.
Our work on LA 3034 covers every layer of the roadway, starting with a complete overhaul of the existing surface and base. The scope is significant:
Each step is carefully planned and executed to extend the life of the road while improving its performance. Our level of precision ensures that every mile we rebuild stands up to Louisiana’s demanding conditions and heavy traffic.

In addition to the roadway itself, we’re removing and replacing 2,000 square yards of concrete driveways along the corridor. These driveways are critical access points and a key part of how residents and businesses connect to the roadway. Replacing them with new, properly reinforced concrete helps ensure long-term stability and a smoother transition between private property and public roadways.
Large infrastructure projects depend on teamwork, and LA 3034 is no exception. We’re proud to work alongside skilled subcontractors who are helping complete important supporting elements. Their work includes replacing guardrails, installing 45 new mailboxes, repairing 70 feet of chain link fence and continuing to clean and reseal joints in the concrete portion of the project.
Our role is to coordinate these efforts and make sure every detail meets DOTD specifications and our own standards for safety and quality. The collaboration keeps the project on track and ensures that every element, from pavement to protection systems, works together as one.
One of the most important parts of this project is the use of VRAM, or Void Reducing Asphalt Membrane. This advanced material is applied beneath the surface layer to prevent moisture from penetrating the pavement joints. Over time, that protection means fewer cracks, less maintenance and longer service life. Combined with high-quality asphalt placement, VRAM helps us deliver smoother, safer and more durable roadways.
Safety always comes first, whether it’s for our crews on-site or the people traveling through the work zone. We take care to maintain clear traffic control, minimize disruption and ensure a clean, organized job site. Every step is guided by efficiency and attention to detail because we know how much these projects matter to local residents.
Beyond the construction itself, LA 3034 represents an investment in Louisiana’s future. It supports economic growth, improves commute times and makes travel safer for everyone who relies on these roads.
As the project moves forward, our focus remains steady. We are dedicated to delivering lasting results. Each job we complete is a reflection of our people, our standards and our promise to build with purpose.
R.J. Daigle & Sons is proud to continue shaping Louisiana’s infrastructure with quality that endures and craftsmanship that stands the test of time.
