When our team arrived on site in St. Gabriel, the roadway was in rough shape with potholes throughout the project area and uneven lanes that made travel difficult. Improving roads like this is about strengthening the infrastructure that keeps the region moving safely and efficiently.
Our crews installed a 2 inch binder lift from LA 74 to Bayou Paul. This layer serves as the foundation for the final wearing course that will follow. The binder lift creates a stable base that helps extend the life of the roadway and improves the ride quality for drivers traveling this busy route each day.
